DIY: Old Coffee Table

-First project for our new home was this old coffee table.

Since I'm preggo my thoughtful hubby helped me revamp this piece of furniture so I don't have to inhale all the paint fumes... and he did a great job! Can you tell how happy I am?

The room is a beige/ light brown color, so I wanted to brighten it up by adding white furniture. Since these two colors are neutral I can add lots of fun (bright) colors like we did here on the coffee table. Turquoise is definitely a tropical color.

fyi. When picking out paint colors at the store ask them if they have any leftover paint in the back that you can have. It's so much cheaper and they usually are really happy to get rid of it so they can have more storage space...

Local Tourists...

Fun day in Waikiki. We decided to take a trip and be tourist for a day, which is fitting since we have only been here for 3 weeks. We stopped by a couple of the resorts located in the area in order to promote our video services. We think it was successful. Below are some pictures we took while exploring the resorts, which are beautiful by the way.

While our adventures in tourist land were unfolding, Monique caught hold of a luring smell. The smell was defiantly food, but we were not sure were it was coming from. So, we literally followed the smell to a small Greek restaurant named The Fat Greek (poor guy). Ok, we have had some really good Greek food before, but this takes the cake (no pun intended). The food was AMAZING! After having our perfectly portioned meal, we got up and noticed an award on the wall. Not to our surprise, the awarded was for having the best Greek food on the island. So, we guess we aren't the only ones who think that place was swell.

The American Dream...

Our 4th of July weekend was a blast! Our family had a fun day at Lake Lanier. They have a nice little beach area where we had an epic volleyball battle & made some friends. The sun was bright that day and we had a ball every minute of it...

Hard to believe that its been 12 years since my family and I stepped onto American soil during this holiday weekend. What a culture shock! Now I'm married to an American. We celebrated America's Birthday with our friends and admired the fireworks xoxo
